  • Soap use & storage

Please use a well-draining soap dish with adequate airflow to ensure that your soap dries out properly between uses. Allowing your soap to sit in a puddle of water will quickly turn it to mush and shorten its lifespan significantly (and unnecessarily!).

  • Refund policy

Due to the nature of our items, we do not accept returns, but you are entitled to a full refund or replacement if your soap is somehow defective or if you’ve received the wrong item (please contact us within 3 days of receipt). One of the reasons we decided to sell our soaps is because we think they’re crazy awesome, and we’re really hoping that you will too! But in the event that you’re completely underwhelmed by our sudsy product, please don't hesitate to reach out and we'll do our best to make you happy :)

  • Story behind the name

I grew up in a healthy household completely devoid of processed junk, sodas, and fast foods. My mom baked our bread, meals were home-cooked, and a go-to after school snack was a nice and crispy apple. I felt like I was raising my girls in a similar vein until 2004 when I was forced (through the unrelenting pressure of illness) to take a closer look at my life and our eating habits. Thus began an enlightening journey into the foods we eat (and the products we use).

I first began by tossing out anything that included hydrogenated oils and high fructose corn syrup. Artificial colors and preservatives went next, and the culling continued relentlessly until 2007 when we made the leap into going vegetarian and then eventually vegan a couple of years later. It was a process with a steep learning curve but one I'm grateful to have invested the time in because that illness that precipitated my deep dive into healthy eating is now a thing of the past.

The only drawback to living such a clean and healthy life is that it involves a LOT of cooking. And for many years this was perfectly fine and I really enjoyed myself. Somehow, even now, whipping up a batch of warm muffins can do wonders for my mental state. But what happens when you start feeling the irresistible urge to swap all that creative kitchen time for creative SOAP time? (Meals get simpler, that's what.) But no matter how much I'd rather be making soap, I imagine you'll frequently find me with spatula in hand, and "Whatcha cookin?" will be uttered by Scott until the day I die. (He's just thrilled anytime my answer involves chocolate. ;)

    Love this scent!

Using bar soap for me has made the process of washing something that brings a sense of satisfaction - not sure if its the textures or scents (more than likely a combination) - but I'll take it! This particular scent invokes a sense of warmth and security, family and holidays. I'll definitely keep coming back for more!!
