Please use a well-draining soap dish with adequate airflow to ensure that your soap dries out properly between uses. Allowing your soap to sit in a puddle of water will quickly turn it to mush and shorten its lifespan significantly (and unnecessarily!).

Due to the nature of our items, we do not accept returns, but you are entitled to a full refund or replacement if your soap is somehow defective or if you’ve received the wrong item (please contact us within 3 days of receipt). One of the reasons we decided to sell our soaps is because we think they’re crazy awesome, and we’re really hoping that you will too! But in the event that you’re completely underwhelmed by our sudsy product, please don't hesitate to reach out and we'll do our best to make you happy :)
Story behind the name
This name behind this soap bar is definitely a personal favorite of mine! In fact, it's so MUCH a favorite that I didn't find a design I was satisfied with until attempt number 4 (or was it 5?)! The idea behind this bar was birthed by my eldest daughter's 2021 New Year's resolution to go on one "outdoorsy adventure" per week for the duration of the year. First Adventure? A New Year's Day visit to our favorite beach.
After initially scoffing at her (the beach is COLD in January), I decided to tag along, as did my other two girls. We had such an unexpectedly super time that day that in a spur-of-the-moment decision, I (and her sisters) decided to join her on her mission and what followed was perhaps one of the best years of my life. It was a tumultuous year, chock-full of confusion and some inner angst, but nestled among the trees and beside the ocean was exactly where we so frequently needed to be.
It was that year that I discovered how very awesome the ocean is in EVERY season. I now much prefer the colder months when the sands are mostly empty and we get the sea virtually to ourselves (and the water fowl!). We learned that if you go prepared (i.e. clothed in multiple layers with mounds of cozy blankets to snuggle into), then off-season at the ocean is a magical time that can be pretty intensely clarifying.
52 Adventures in 52 weeks. It was definitely challenging, and I wanted to throw in the towel once or twice, but we stuck it out and were "rewarded" virtually every time. Like the day we sat on the jetty and watched an osprey hunt. Or the time the barred owl got our attention by flying in and perching in a tree over our campsite before swooping down to catch his dinner (or breakfast, I guess). Or the time we stargazed and all saw the same GIANT shooting star blaze across the sky. Or the time we got lost on a hike and ended up stumbling upon an old graveyard which was apparently home to a very cranky and protective spirit who then menacingly urged us out of its woods. (To this day we ruminate about this Adventure and how strange and eerie it was...)
All in all, The Adventure Year was a memorable year and definitely needed a bar of soap to commemorate it. Yes, it took me several attempts to end up with a design that I felt was worthy of such a title, but I settled on the simplicity of this bar because it reminds me of one of my favorite places to be :)
