(you know what would make this better?) CHOCOLATE! Artisan Vegan Soap

Scott and I like to test each batch of soap to assess scent, texture, etc., and when I got to this bar, it really made me smile. The scents blend together beautifully and the texture is just so lovely. Please visit the additonal info sections to read more about this handcrafted soap bar (all the details are there, I promise!). Hope it makes you smile, too :)

Please Note: While still quite lovely (I do love the scent of this bar!), this current batch of soap turned out to be a bit softer than our bars typically are. The use of a well-draining soap dish (like the one pictured above) will allow it to dry out properly between uses and should prevent it from becoming overly mushy. We'll shoot to make the next batch just a wee bit firmer! :)

Allergen warning

Please note that all of our products contain unrefined coconut oil, most contain unrefined sweet almond oil, and some contain unrefined shea nut butter. Please refer to the ingredients list for complete details.

  • Soap use & storage

Please use a well-draining soap dish with adequate airflow to ensure that your soap dries out properly between uses. Allowing your soap to sit in a puddle of water will quickly turn it to mush and shorten its lifespan significantly (and unnecessarily!).

  • Story behind the name

Once again, another name that doesn't really require an explanation because I know that Scott certainly isn't alone in his chocolate obsession, but really? Does there have to be chocolate in or on EVERYTHING? Well, according to Scott, the answer to that is a big, fat YES. Most definitely. Because chocolate makes everything better.

So it seemed like an obvious choice for a soap design (complete with the cacao colored soap batter!), and it's designed to mimic one of our most favorite desserts: Frozen Chocolate Pie. It (the pie, that is) has a delicious nut/date based crust, topped with a thick layer of chocolate filling, and topped with some whipped coconut cream. And if I'm feeling really crazy? I toss on some roasted cashews and chocolate chips to complete the picture. It's a somewhat time-consuming endeavor so it's generally reserved as a holiday dessert, but the whole family is enamored with this pie. (Seriously, want the recipe? Message me and I'd be thrilled to send it along! ;)
